April Food Drive

Easter Seals Goodwill Industries will be hosting a month-long food and personal care items drive to benefit Connecticut Food Bank. Throughout the month of April, all of our Goodwill stores and Attended Donation Centers will be collecting non-perishable food and personal care items.

Everyone who donates an item will receive a $5 off a $10 purchase coupon valid through the end of the year.

"We are grateful for the Goodwill retail stores' customers who can help Connecticut Food Bank with our mission to alleviate hunger," said Nancy L. Carrington, Connecticut Food Bank's President and CEO. "Help is needed now more than ever for the one in seven Connecticut families who struggle to put food on the table."

 While every donation is appreciated, some items are needed more than others:

Non-perishable food

• 100% Fruit Juice (cans, bottle, boxes)   • Canned Fruits & Vegetables
• Chunky Soups & Beef Stews   • Macaroni & Cheese
• Powdered Milk   • Rice
• Dry & Canned Beans   • Spaghetti & Sauce
• Sugar-free, Low-sodium & No Salt Items   • Tuna & Other Canned Meats

 

Personal Care Items

• Shampoo • Toothpaste
• Toothbrushes • Diapers
• Detergent • Deodorant
• Shaving Cream • Razors
• Hair Brushes
